new zealand shows big increase in export figures

Wellington, Monday. Overseas trade returns for New - - Zealand for the month of October, 1932, with figures for the corresponding period last year in parenthesis, are as follows: — Exports, £2,401,178 (£1,735,470); imports, £1,847,532 (£1,862,231). For ten months ended October 31, 1932, the exports totalled £31,087-,-830 (£29,003,574); imports, £18,913,231 (£20,960,260). •' The values shown for exports are declared f.o.b. values in terms of New - Zealand currency, while the imports are values on the basis of values in exporting countries plus ten "per cent.
