LIGHTS DIMMED BY LIGHTS
A French invention- is said to make the dimmmg of automohile lights automatic at the approach of cars gomg m the oppdsite direction. If dii automohile equipped with this mecha.msm has its headlights on, the' lights of any car coming tbwards it acts„upo_? a sehsitive plate, cutting the full hghts cireuit and closing the dimmef cireuit" ,as long as -th'e light falls upon it. The apparatus is so sensitiv© that th'e rays of a medium dim light act upon it at an average of 400 yards. Even dim city lights will affect the mechanism.
