FIANNA FAIL FORCING WATERFORD BYELECTION
-T?y Telegraph — Opvright).
Rec. Nov. 21, 7.10 p.m. Dubliri, Nov. 21. The Fianna Fail is taking the initiative in forcing a by-election at East Cork Waterford, with the idea of distracting the pcople's mind from economie problems. Mr. de Vrdera is anxious to talce advantage of the scheme of funding the arrears of annuities, which is likely to impfess farmers more than Mr. W. T. Cosgrave's argument that tlie payments will ultimately be heavier. Mr. McDermott, chairman of the Farmers' League, said that the Irish land commission has between £80,000 proceeds against the Free State farmers for the next payment of annuities for May and June. There is a limit to the injustiee of which the Government may be guilty and also to the financial futility of plunging insolvents deeper into bankruptcy.
