The Government meteorolopist issued the following weather report and forecast last nisrht: — General situation: A moderate anticyclone now covers New Zealand with its centre over the northern portion; an extensive -depression is located over south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Winds westerly to northerly, moderate generaily, but freshening irr and south of Cook Strait. Weather: Fair, warm and hazy for the most part, but some showers about Foveaux Strait and later conditions becoming unsettled in districts with a westerly aspect.
