GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. Can you take a beautiful wild creature and acelimatise her to the effete atmosphere of riches and society? Can you put a gorgeous Bird of Paradise in a gilded cage without breaking its gallant spirit? "Aloha," the picturing featuring Ben Lyon, Raquel Torres, and an all-star east. at the Grand Theatre, tells the story of a wealthy young American who marries a tropical beauty and takes her to his aristocratic San Francisco home. But Ilanu was only half native. The. white strain of her father made her feel superior to the members of her mother's race, who were darker skinned than she. And when she went amongst her husband's people all the courage in her wanted to be like his friends, but it was so hard to understand their ways. Comedy blends with the romance and drama of "Aloha." The east in support of Ben Lyon and Raquel Torres is Robert Edeson, Alan Hale, Thelma Todd, and Otis Harlan, and many others.
