The Government meteorolorilst !ssued the following weather report and forecast last nigrht: — General sitqation: The last of a rather extenslve anti-cyclone moved on to the Dominion, its ce'ntre to-day extending over the southein Tasman , Sea. Forecast: Winds moderate to fresh south-westerlies to southerlies. Weather: Changeable and scattered showers or misty rain at first in eastern districts, but improving; else. where fair to fine; cool temperatures. Following are the barometer, tnaxi- --- mum arid-minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded J at the. Governmerit ObserVation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer .... 29.976ins. Thermometer (max.) 65.8deg. . Thermometer (min.) 52.7deg.
