The Govftrnment meteorolofilst issued the folltiwing weather report and . forecast last niffht: — General situation: The last of a rather extensive anti-cyclone moved on to the Dominion, its ce'ntre to-day extending over the southern Tasman Sea. , Forecast: Winds moderate to fresh south-westerlies to southerlies. Weather: Changeable and scattered showers or rnist'y rain at first in eastern districts, but improving; else. where fair to fine; cool temperatures. Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded af^the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
