The Whakatane Lawn Tennis Club will play a progressive tournament on Saturday afternoon, November 13 and also on the following Wednesday afternoon. A ladies' committee has been formed consisting of Mesdames Dewar, Wadmore, Harrison, Powdrell, Miss B. Hutton and Miss Guest. Mr. E. V. Harrison has been appointed to the general committee to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Stevens. Arrangements for the commencement of the ladder competition and matches for the racquet are in the hands of the secretary.
