Dunedin, Monday. An option to purchase the mining area held by Messrs. Bell and "Kilgour, who made a lucky strike on the Cromwell Flat, Is stated to have been seeured by a London syndieate, whicb is endeavouring to secure as many other areas as possible, A meeting of those who hold areas was held at Cromwell, about fi'fty attending. Mr. Roche, Dunedin representative of the syndieate, made an off-er for opti'ons. '' The matter was adjourned for the parties to confer.
