The Govftrnment meteorolojilst. issued the following weather report and forecast last nijht: — General situation: An aYiti.cyclone is movinci gradually toward the Dominiori, its centre at present being located over the northern Tasman Sea, while isobars of a westerly trend are crossing the southern Tasman Sea and southerVi New Zealand. Forecast: Winds south-westerly to westerly, moderate generaily, freshening at times in Cook and Foveaux Straits. Weather: Fair to fine generaily, but isolated showers in the west coast and in the far south. Following are Ihe barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunj shine, and rainfall readings recorded i at the Government Observation Sta- { tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
