Henri Verbruggen, whose connection with the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra was severed in 1931, due to illness, has been engaged as chairman of the Department of Music at Carlton College, Northfield, Minnesota, joining the faculty next September. He will sail shortly for Belgium hefore assuming his new duties. He was f ormerly direetor of , the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music.
