BENEFIT CONCERT

On Sunday evening in the Regent Theatre, a benefit sacred concert, arranged by Bandmaster Stevens was held in aid of a local family. The following bi'ief programme was rendered: Selection; song, Miss B. Kelly; violin solo, Mr. K. Cohen (accompanied by Mrs. J. Black); song, Miss Sainpison; clarionette solo, Mr. A. Shaw (accompanied by Mr. S. Reynolds); song, Mr. J. Snell; cornet solo, Mr. Les MacKay; National Antbem, band. At the conclusion of • the programme, the Mayor, Mr. J. T. Thompson thanked the audience and the artists for their support.
