CAUSED BY TOO MUCH OIL. ' Over-lubrication ofthe fan often results in the belt becoming coated with oil, causing it to slip. ' Wash the' belt thoroughly in soap -and water or treat it to a belt dressing. A- slipping belt can often be remedied by sprmkliiig a little powdered resin on it; ordinary talcum powder has the same effect.
