The wreckage of the Black Sea express on October 16, killing 36 and injuring 51 was revealed in ani announcement of the sentence to death by shpoting pf Bul^kov, a stptionmastpr, whq was accused of interfering with the w°rk of Vanteev, a. station official v/ho was on duty, hy arbitrarily signalling that the Jine was clear while it was occupied by another train. Vanteev was sentenceid to eight years' imprisonmeht for allowing Bulphov to interfere, and Kasavov, a watchman, to six yeaj*^.
