ONLY A JOKE

REVISED VERSION OF EXPLOSION AT GREYMOUTH Greymouth, Saturday. Inquiries this morning into last evening's explosion show that it took place in the Borough Council's open shed, which was used for storing drays, over one hundred yards from the police station. The explosive, it is believed, was placed in a dray, the bottom of which was blown out. The shed was not damaged. A horse in the shed was not injured. District opinion is that the 'explosion was intended as a joke, perhaps to influence the police.
