TO-NIGHT. Whether you're a footballi fan or not, you'll find "Touchdown!" one of the season's most exciting entertainments. An inside story of inter-col-legiate football as is played to-day, "Touchdown,!" not only shows th'e glories of modern American football, bu|) also dares to point out some of its little known evils. Its interesting story builds effeetively to a climax that will give you one of th'e biggest surprises of your life. The cast featured in "Touchdown!" includes Richard Arlen, Peggy Shannon, Jack Oalcie, Regis Toomey, Charles Starrett, George Barbier and J. Farrell MacDonald. "Touchdown!" opens at the Grand Theatre to-night. In the second feature, Claudette Colbert and Gary Cooper are costarred^ for the first time in the new dramatic ropiance, 'His Woman," an engrossing story of a man and woman who are drav/n together through their mutual love for a motherless child, "His Woman" emerges as a human and tender drama which will appeal to young and old. On His Woman," Gary Cooper is cast as Sam Whalan, a hard-boiled sea captain who finds himself forced to "father" a foundling haby left aboard his shijr. Drawn to the helpless child, Sam decides to secure the sei'vices of a young girl to care for the baby. But Sam is at anchor in a tropical port and is unsuccessful in getting the right girl for the job until Sally Clarke (Claudette Colbert) ! comes along. _ Sally tells Sam that ! she is the friendless daughter of a missionary, ana Sam, believing her story, eagerly hires her. . -f'l'oni this point on the story effeetively builds dramatic" suspense when Sam's first mate, recognising Sally as a former entertainer in one of th'e sea port dives, threatens her with exposure. ■ j
