Fishing Craft All launchmen on the waterfront are busy preparing their er^ft for the fishing season. The paint brushes are being kept busy and many of the boats are already looking spick and span. A handy craft for Sir Alexander Herdman has been added to the fleet. Tennis Opening Ideal weather is promisd for the official opening of the Rotorua Tennis Club's 1932-33 season which is to tabe place at the Government grounds this afternoon. The opening address will he made by his Worship the Mayor, Mr. T. Jackson, at 2 p.m. after which1 the courts will he available for play. Lahour Party Meeting It is anticipated that there will be a large attendance at the public meetT ing which is to be addressed by Messrs W. Jordan and D. Coleman, La bour memhers of Parliament, in the Grand Theatre on Sunday evening. Both gentlemen are closely in touch with the politics of the day 'and are capable and convincing speakers and it is in the interest of the electors that their utterances on th'e political situation should receive attention. The times deaand an understanding of all pnlitical outlooks .and the Lahour viewpoint should he instructive, in view of the fact that the party offers itself to the country as an alternative to the C'oalition Government. Band Programmes The Rotorua Municipal Band wjfil play in the streets this evening from 7 o'clock until 7.30. To-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock a concert programme will he given from the rotunda in the Government Gardens. A. and P. Officials , It will not be necessary to hold an election at the annual meeting of the Rotorua Agricultural and Pastoral Association for the principal official positions, as only, the required number of nominations haVe heen received. Mi\ H. f. Ford has been re-nom-inated as president; Messrs. E. Pratt' and C. Shooter, vice-presidents; and Mr. J. M. Roberts, treasurer. The committee will he elected by the' meeting. Ana Hato Concert To-night Ana Hato, the well-known Maori soprano has a world-wide reputation and her first concert with her newly formed concert company is an interesting event to musie lovers and those who appreciate Maori entertainment at its best. The concert is to be held in the Peerless Hall tonight and is in aid of the Wairoa earthquake relief fund. Ana will sing several of her hest known numhers while her company has a new and most entertaining programme for its initial concert of the season.
