ENJOYABLE DANCE HELD BY WAIOTAHI INSTITUTE

A dance, given by the Waiotahi' Women's Institute, was held in the Waiotahi Hall on Wednesday evening. Although tlrere was not a large number present, the dance was very sociable and enjoyable. The Gaiety Orchestra supplied thd music and two extras were given by Mrs. Burke and Miss M. Looney. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss D. Payne and Mr. G. Anderson, while a cake competition was won by Mr. xtaymond Reid and a guessing competition by Mr. Burke. Mr. R. Looney carried out the duties of M.C. Among the ladies present were: — Mesdames J. Jessop, floral voile; B. Looney, cream georgette; De Pontet, floral voile, L. Looney, black floral georgette; A. Snell, lemon figured georgette; E. Fryer, lemon georgette; A. Debreceny, blue floral rayon. Misses J. Cunningham, white satin; N. McKinnon, lemon crepe dd chine; D. Payne, floral voile; F. Small, white satin; E. Debreceny, pink satin; D. Wolfe, green and white ensemble; B. Ensoll, blue and white ensemble; W. Looney, blue floral georgette; M. Looney, black satin; M. Eason, blue satin; E. Kirkbride, white tennis frock; M. Martin, red satin; M. Papuni white rayon.
