THE WEATHER
The Govarnment meteorolofiist issued the following weather report and forecast last niffht:— General situation: A feeble anticyclone is passing to the north of the Dominion, while a fresh depression is adva'ncing rapidly across the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds light to moderate and freshening northeriies. Weather: Fair at first, but a few isolated showers and milder; later unsettled conditions with rain developing in districts with a westerly aspect. ""Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Obseryation Station by the Rotorua Tourist bepartment for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer • 29.692ins. Thermometer (max.) 67.3deg. Thermometer (min.) 48.0deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 38.7deg. Rainfall ...r Nif Bright Sunshine 9.0hrs.
