MR. TSCHOPP RESIGNS
AS FROM NOV. 20 COUNCIL PAYS TRIBUTE ~ TO VALUABLE SERVICE ONE iDISSENTING VOICE 'When a letter was received by the Rotorua Borough Council iast night from Mr. F. Tschopp, landscape architeet, tendering his resignation as from a November 20, Cr. A. Smith at once moved that the resignation be accepted. Qr. O. H. Coleman was prepared to second tfie resolution if Cr. Smit)ii . would add that the councii express its appreciation of the valuable •services rendered to the horough' hy Mr." (fschopp. _ Cr. Smith thought that would place hina in a wrong position. He must decline to accept the suggestion. He could not go back on his'utterances-^-a man must be honest with himself. ' Cr. N. M. Keane was prepared to second the motion and it was thenput and carried. Cr.
