EXTENDED TO FREE STATE WHILE EMBARGO CONTINUES OLD AND NEW DUTIES

Th'e Ottawa Agreements Bill provides that the Irish Free State will continue to enjoy preferences both under the old duties and the new Ottawa duti'es as long as the British special duties on Irish goods for the reco.very of annuities money, remain in force. Lobbyists indicate that as no agreement was made with the! Free State at Ottawa, many believed there would be no preferences for Irish goods after the expiry date, November 15.
