GRAVE DANGER
FEARS IN AUSTRALIA Rec. Oct. 26, 11 p.m. Melbourne. October 26. A deputation of New South Wales and/ Victorian graziers and meat exporters directed the attention of Mr. Stewart, Federal Minister of Commerce, to the grave con^ition of the British meat market and the continuous flooding of supplies. Fears were expressed that if South American shipmeiit of mutton continued heavy to December 1931, th'e present lamb exporting season would be disastrous. The deputation urged that representations should he made to the New Zealand Government and the British Government and the Argentine with a view to arranging an all-round lirnitation of shipments. Mr. Stewart replied that the Ministry was alive to the danger, and th* whole pnsition had been placed before the British Government through Mr. S. M. Bruce, the Resident Commonwealth Minister in London.
