GOLF DANCE

BRIGHT CLOSING FUNCTION. Although the weather on Labour Day did not permit the ofiicial closing fixture to take place, a very jolly and enjoyable dance was held at the Club House in the evening. There was a large attendance of dancers present and the lively swing Mr. Norris' orehestra gave to its numbers added greatly to the evaning's pleastire. The dance-room was decorated with bowls of golden broom, while the lounges were arranged with iceland poppies and marigolds. Among those present were: — Mrs. S. H. Hay, who wore lime georgette; Mrs. R. Copeland Smith, black and rose embossed georgette; Mrs. E. La Trobe Hill, walnut and amber ninon; Mrs. T. Kelly, black laoe; Mrs. M. D. Carr, ahnond green embossed georgette; Mrs. H. Bertram, black embroidered taffeta; Mrs. F. Stanier, leafgreen velvat; Mrs.j Dumbleton (Hamilton), ciel blue taffeta; Mrs. C. Court (Auckland), bottle green panne velvet; Mrs. Galbraith, black floral georgette; Mrs. Parlane, floral ninon; Mrs. R. Potter, shell pink georgette; Mrs. W. Kusabs, black lace; Mrs. L. Fisher, black and gold satin; Miss M. Cooney, lavender ninon; Miss J. Pearce, cobalt blue lace; Miss T. Moon, vieux rose taffeta; Miss D. Griffiths, cameo pink taffeta and net; Miss G. La Trobe Hill, turquoise blue satin; Miss M. Bailey (Auckland), black and beige lace; Miss J. Bertram, flame embossed georgette and grey fur; Miss V. Holland, shell pink satin; Miss Black, black lace; Miss N. Lennox, black floral taffeta; -Miss K. Carnachan, Japanese pink satin; Miss Pike, blaek georgette.
