NEW ZEALAND BRIDE
1 A wedding of New Zealand interest i took place at Christ Church, East f Sheen, on August 27. The bride was i Joyce Gladwys, elder daughter of Mr. [F. T. Sandford (secretary to the High 1 Commissioner's Department) and Mrs. i Sandford, of 3 Martindale, East Sheen. The bridegroom was Hug "Wallace Lonsdale McKee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKee, of Ballgrot, Crawf ordsbulrn, County Down, Northern Ireland. The Rev. G. E. Gladstone, M.A., officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was in a frock of ivory satin, with veil of embroidered Brussels net gracefully arranged as a cap, held in place by pearls and orange-flower buds. Her I bouquet was of white lilies, pink roses j and heather, and her gold pendant was | set with Australian topaz. Miss MarJ jorie^ Wallis, who was in attendance, j was in blue and orange patterned chifJ fon, with blue hat. Sbe carried a bouj quet of orange-coloujrjed carnations | and fern. Mr. Harold Jackson, from j Ireland, was best man. A numb'ef of t New Zealand friends were present, also many Londqn friends, for Mr. and Mrs. Sandford have been living Kere
for some years and they are wellknown residents at East Sheen. Relatives of the bridegroom, too, came from Ireland. For a number of years the bride had been on the staff of the High Commissioner's . office. Among the presents was a silver hot-water jug from Sir Thomas and Lady Wilford, and a silver salver from the staff.
