Forecast: Winds moderate to strong generAilyi decreasing northerly at first, north of New Plymouth and Napier, and changin^ soo'n to southeriy; elseWhere, south -easterly to southerly. Weather: Fair in the western and southern districts of the South !sland, elsewhere still unsettled with rain at tlmes, gradually improving. Following are the barometer, maximum and mjninium thermometer, sunshine, and "rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta* tion , by the Rotorua Tourist Department for thfe 24 hodrs ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.658ins. Thermometer (max.) 60.7deg. • Thermometer (min.) 53.6deg. Thermometer .(min on grass) 45.9deg. Rainfall 0.35ins. Bright Sunshine 0.6hrs.
