A dance was held in the Woodlands Hall on Thursday evening to celebrate the anniversary of the building of the Woodlands Hall. Two chocolate dances were won by Miss E. Dodgson and Mr. B. Mamby and Miss E. Keeling and Mr. T. Hennessey. Mrs. G. Shalfoon was lucky winner of the mystery bag competition, and Mr. J. Snell gave two exeellent vocal numbers during the intervals. Flag 500 was played by the older people, the winners being Mrs. Hollard and Mr. D. Morrison, and Mr. and Mrs. Sargent. Among those present were : — Mesdames C. J. Hollard, W. Pilkington, A. E. Martin, S. Maxwell, McGregor, Dodgson, W. E. Sargent, G. Shalfoon, T. Webb, T. O'Sullivan, J. Parkinson, Misses N. Hollard, E. Mulhern, T. McDonnell, A. Crawford, C. Lloyd, W. Hennessey, A. Tabb, E. Reid, C. Jefferies, D. Voss, J. Battle, W. Looney, E. Smith, A. Tee, H. Tee, E. Vaizey, F. Shalfoon, V. Campbell, E. Dodgson, M. McNaught.
