TOWN CLERKSHIP

Invercargill, Thursday. The Invercargill City Council at its meeting went into committee to deal with applications for the position of town clerk and treasurer. The number of applicants was further reduced from six to two. The latter will be interviewed by the council before the final selection is made. The two applicants concerned are Mr. W. F. Sturman, town clerk of Petone, and Mr. H. C. Gimblett, secretary of the Bluff Harbour Board.
