HENRY FORD APPEALS ON BEHALF OF HOOVER

-By Telegraph — Copyrlght) .

Rec. Oct. 20, 5.5 p.m. New York, Oct. 19. ! Comiliodity and stock markets, but particularly the Chicago wheat pit, received a thrill to-day when an unconfirmed rumour was circulated that Mr. Henry Ford would announce late in the evening during a radio address, his intention to buy 75,000,000 bushels of wheat at 60 cepts a bushel to sell to China on seven years credit. Wheat gained a cent and stocks rose from one to four points, and the commodity prices responded, but the Ford officials imxnediately denied the report. Mr. Ford, who recently counselled all his employees to vote for Mr. Hoover, to-night, at his first appearance before the microphone, urged the nation to re-elect the President.
