MAJESTIC
SATURDAY. One of the important roles in foil for Ruth Chatterton's '.new f eature, "Once a Lady," which shows at the Majestie Theatre on Saturday, is played by Herbert Bunston, veteran character actor whose name has been listed on casts of worthwhile productions in both' New Yofk and London. Bunston does the part of the aristocratic father-in-law of an unconventional Russian girl adrift in Paris. He appears in the early sequenees of this new dramatie screen creation from the pen pf Zoe Akins. It is based on a play, "The Second Life." Since entering pictures, Bunston has appeared in "Dracula," doing the same part he did in the New York stage version; as well as in "Old- English," with George Arliss, and in "The Last of Mrs. Cheney" and "Lady of Scandal." Once again John Gilbert has two leading ladies in his latest Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture, "West of Broadway," which will be at the Majestie Theatre on Saturday. The feminine leading roles are played by Lois Moran and Madge Evans. In this. production Gilbert is said to combnie all the romance and action of his former triumphs of the screen in his role of a young millionaire, who returns from the war to find that his fiancee has fallen in love with anoth'er man. In the depths of despair, he holds a huge party, and the following morning finds that he is married. How he evenually learns to love the girl who beeame his wife after a few hours' acquaintance makes "West of Broadway" one of the most enjoyable of pictures. Heading th'e cast is E1 Brendel, famous comedian who scored in "Just Imagine," "Mr. Lemon of Orange," and others; Lois Moran, Madge Evans, Gwen Lee, Hedda Hoppsr and even more well known players.
