CARD EVENING

A pleasant evening of flag 500 was held at the residence of Mrs. C. Hambly, Kukumoa Hill, on Monday. The evening was given in aid of the Methodist Ladies' Guild. Mrs.. Hambly served a delicious supper and presented prizes, which were won by Mr. and Mrs. W. Burnett and Mr. and Mrs. E. Payne. Consolation prizes were awarded to Miss M. McLeod and Mr. S. Reynolds, Miss Kirkbride and Mr. L. Ratcliffe. After supper, the remainder of the evening was spent in daneing, the long sleeping porch making a splendid daneing hall.
