SENSATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS MAY FOLLOW AN AUTOPSY SECOND IN THREE MONTHS

Auckland, Tuesday. A police party this morning exhumed the corpse of a person aged about 60, which had been buried at O'Neill's Point Cemetery, Bayswater, in September, 1931. This was the second body to be exhumed from the same cemetery recently, the last being that of a man on August 3. The exhumation arrangements wero in charge " of ' Inspector J. Cummings, who is attached to the office of tha Commissioner of Police, Wellington. The party reached t]ie cemetery shortly after 7 a.m. The utmost secrecy was observed by the police, and the gruesome task was carried out in the ahsenee of curious sightseers. Present at the exhumation were Inspector Cummings, Detective Sergoant O'Sullivan, Dr. D. N. W. Murray, Dr. W. Gilmour, pathologist at the Auckland Hbspital, Mr. W. Donovan, Dominion analyst, of Wellington, Mr. K. Griffin, Government analyst, Auckland, the Auckland health officer and two gravediggers. "The remains were placed in a shell and removed to the hospital morgue, and after an autopsy has been made this afternoon by experts, they will he rejnterred. Developments of a sensational nature may follow. On the result of the autopsy and analysis of samples taken from the remains will depend whether the police will carry out further exhumations.
