The Government meteorolofiist issued the following weather report and forecast last niffht: — Genera! situatio'n: The cyclonic depression which was located yesterday over the Tasman Sea is now crossing the southern extremity of New Zealanci, and a moderate anti-cyclone follows it, its centre this morning being over Victoria. Forecast: Winds strong northeriy , 'north of Otago,. but a change to southea&terly is extending over the Dominion during the next twenty-four hours. Weather: DuII and unsettled with almost general rain and heavy falls on-wthe east coast; temperatures be -- coming cooler. Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 SATURDAY Barometer 30.332ins.
