The Government meteoroloplst issued the following weather report and forecast !ast niff.ht: — General Situation: The anti-cy-clone mentio'ned yesterday has intensified, but is moving off to the eastward; a moderate cyclone is still centred east of New South Waies. Forecast: Winds easterly to northerly, iight to moderate, but freshening. Weather:" Mainiy fair to fine at first; unsettied conditions setting, jn in the norther'n and western districts and rain developing; weather likely to be unsettied generally during the we^k-end; temperatures miid. Following are the barometer, ,maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.967ins. Thermometer (max.) 60.2deg. Thermometer (min.) 40.2deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 27.9deg. Rainfall Nil Bright Sunshine 8.9hrs.
