SHEEP PRICES STEADY CATTLE SLIGHTLY EASIER FRANKTON YARDINGS Hamilton, Wednesday. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report: — At Frankton sale to-day there was a smaller yarding than usual of sheep prices for wethers remaining un- ; ehanged, ewes easing- slightly on late quotations. Hoggets again commanded good competition, while a good yarding of spring lambs sould at about equal to late rates. Cattle : — There was an extra heavy yarding of ox beef, mostly of heavy prime quality, the yarding being far . in excess of requirements with a result that prices eased considerably. Cow and heifer beef was also yarded in good numbers and sold at late rates. " ! Quotations: — Sheep : — Heavy f at woolly wethers, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; lighter, fat woolly : wethers, 11s to 12s; heavy shorn i wethers, 11s to lls9d; lighter, 10s to 10s 9d; heavy fat woolly ewes, 8s 6d to 9s 6d; lighter, 6s 6d to 7s 6d; heavy shorn ewes, 6s 9d to '7s 2d; lighter, 5s to 6s; heavy fat hoggets, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; lighter, 10s 6d to 11s 6d; heavy spring lambs, 11s 9d to 12s 6d; lighter, 9s 6d to 10s 6d. Cattle: — Medium fat steers, £6 14s No £7; lighter, £5 5s to £5 16s; heavy . fat cows, £4 16s to £5 5s; medium fat cows and heifers, £4 to £4 15s; light ; and ldllable cows, £2 5s to £3 5s; fresh conditioned cows, 25s to 32s 6d; boners, 10s to 20s; vealers, 10s to 15s. Pigs: — Prime heavy baeoners, £2 6s to £2 10s; heavy baeoners, £2 ls to £2 5s; medium, 35s to £2; light baeoners and heaVy porkers, 30s to 33s; porkers, 24s to 29s; good stores 20s to 26s; slips, 14s to 18s 6d; weaners, 11s to 15s. . - .
