NEW PROPERTY FOR 18 HOLE COURSE TO BE BOUGHT

At a special general meeting of the mem'bers of the Opotiki Golf Club held yesterday evening, a proposition for leasing McGrevy Bros. Tablelands property, together with a proposition fof purchasing Mr. E. M. Hutchinson's • golf links property were considered, and in the ahsence of a purchasing clause in respect of the Tablelands property the cIud resolved to purchase Mr; Hutchinson's golf links property at £30 per acr'e upon Mr. Hutchinson's tenns. It was also resolved that the necessary eash deposit be .provided by each member contributing the sum of £1 10/-. It is the intention of the committee to provide the club with an 18 hole course, and for that purpose it was resolved to arrange immediately for the services of a golf architect.
