Members of the Opotiki Golf Club on Saturday played a bisque eompetition, 24 players participating. The best cards returned were.: — E. Larnock, 3 up; Smith, 2 up; de Lautour, 2 up; Black, 1 up.
A special general meeting of members of the Opotiki Golf Club has been convened for Wednesday evening next to consider proposals to secure a suitable property for golf links and to go into ways and means to finance the undertaking. On Wednesday last 32 members took part in a mixed foursome handicap competition.- Best cards handed in were as f ollows : — Mr. and Mrs. Davies, 92 — 26 — 66; Mrs. Candy and W. Thompson, 88 — 20 — 68; Mrs. G. Vanstone and Chas. Gordon, 88 — 19 —69.
