Brown, Moderator of the charge, made passing reference to the world depression which, he said, showed signs of lifting. The Christian Church had felt a financial strain jn common with things material. Appeals for financial assistance to carry on the hoipe mission branch of the work ha.d eaused the Presbyterian Ho'me Mission. Committee a good deal of anxiety owing to restricted funds.
