Perth, Oct. 10; The settlers have decided to organise a drive on a 25-mile front to stern an emu invasion. It is estirnated there are at least 7000 birds which have been playing havoc with, the wheat crops. The Premier, Sir James Mitchell, has been requested to approach the Defence Department for the use of machine guns to be mounted on motor trucks to eliminate the emu pest.
