The Government meteorolopist issued the following weather report and forecast last nijht:— • ' General Situation: The barometer is still fairly high over the greater part of New Zealand. A low pressure wave is approaching the south and an intense low pressure area is over Tasmania. Forecast: Winds northerly to westerly, moderate to strong.
