CAUSES AND CURES OF UNEMPLOYMENT

ENQU1RER.

(To the Editor). Sir,— -I read "Pro Bono Publico's" letter on the causes and cure of the present crisis with great interest. There are one or two points which do not appear quite clear to me, however, and perhaps the writer would explain them for my information. Where is No. 1 man to borrow the first £5 from? At the present time, there are quite a number of people who owe money, but have none owing to them. How are these people to start this circulation business?. In his letter the writer presupposes that everybody owes money to everybody else. Another point is that if the Government conscripted money as suggested, how would it put it into circulation in the first instance and how keep it there afterwards. — I am, etc.
