Aero Club' Fine Record.
Since the Canterbury Eero Club began active operations less than four years ago its machines have flown for over 1000 hours and 4000 passengers have been carried without a single serious accident. This fact was announcod by the Mayor, Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P., at a club function reeently. He said that this position was a tribute to the competence of the club's ofiicers and to the adequacy of the machines. Last year the machines were in the air for 1000 hours and 7009 flights had been made without a single accident. The club had also trained 50 pilots. Better Times Ahead. Recent visitors to Wellington state that there is a much more cheerful tone abroad and that business there shows a decided brightening tendency. This feeling will sprea.d, and Taranaki, along with other neighbouring provinces, must quickly feel the ben'efit. - V
