The funeral took place at Ngongotaha, on Sunday last, of the late Mr. Charles Karl, who was one of the district's oldest residents. The service at .the Roman Catholic Chur'ch was conducted by Bishop Liston, of Auckland, and at the graveside Rev. Father O'Callaghan, of Rotorua, officiated. The esteem in which the deceased was held was demonstrated by the lai'ge number of residents and friends from the surrounding districts who attended.
