ROTORUA BEAT THAMES IN KEENLY FOUGHT GAME The return match between Thames and Rotorua B, played at the Government Grounds on Saturday, was keenly fought and resulted in a win for Rotorua by 23 goals to 14. Rotorua exploited the short passing game and Thames went for long passes. Rotorua's methods proved superior and they were able to gain many ad1 vantages through interceptions. For Thames, J. Mulcahy scored 11 goals, M. Corner 2 goals and M. Finnin 1 goal. - For Rotorua, J. Allen scored 12 goals, V. Hale 8 goals, and J. Prenter 3 goals. Mrs. I. Shearer refereed. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea on the grounds, and in the evening were guests at the Majestic Ballroom. On Sunday moiming they spent a pleasant hour in the Blue Bath and visited Whakarewarewa in the afternoon.
