After the loyal toast had been honoured, the chairman offieially welcomed the visitors to Rotoru-a* and congratulated the players of both teams on their fine game. He said that the exhibition given the spectators would do much to give Rugby a fillip in Rotorua and would be an education to the younger players. Responding to the toast of the visitors, Mr. B. He remarked upon the fact that the line of his team had been crossed for the third time only that season. He issued an invitation to Rotorua to send a team to Morrinsville during the next season. The last occasion on which a Rotorua team had visited Morrinsville was in 1923. On behalf of the Arawa Tribal team, Mr. T. Anderson. (manager) congratulated their opponents on their fine showing and victory and reminded them that their success was not against a purely Rotorua side, but a team of Maori players selected from throughout the Bay of Plenty.
