Improving Water Pressure
The manager of the Tourist Department, Mr. F. J. Bayfeild, notified the Rotorua Fire Board in answer to its request for better water pressure that he hn.d been authorised to instal a booster pump in the Hemo Gorge and that this wopld result in the improvement they asked for. However, as the pump had to be imported from Britain, it wojild not b.e ip pperation until January. The board decided to thank him for his efforts.
