AGE FOR LOVE
A DRAMA WRITTEN FOR THE NEWLY _ WEDS. GOOD ENTERTAINMENT. The romance and drama of this ultra-modern age, the marriage problems which all modern eouples eneounter — are beautifully and poignantly portrayed in "The Age for Love," which opens on Thursday at the Majestic Theatre. Here is a rnotion picture — undoubtedly the first of its land — which truly portays, and entertainingly too, the problems which confront every modern, intelligent and cultured person. And it is the kind of entertainment the entire family will enjoy — you will laugh, you will cry, and you will sympathise with these true-to-life eharacters, who move gracefully across the screen amid settings glamorous, colourful and realistic. ffThe Age for Love," among its other delcctahle features, brings back to the screen, after more than a year's absence, the heautiful Billie Dove. It is a new Dove you see in this picture — a girl more heautiful than ever, if that is possible — but in addition, a new ■histrionic personality, dynamic with polish and sophistication. It is, wifhout doubt, Miss Dove's finest performance. A new leading man, Charles Starrett, makes a bid for fame in "The Age fqr Love," the United Artists release. His portrayal of the straightforward, handsome, slightly old-fa-shioned young business man is a gem of acting — and woiaien will want to see more of this brilliant young actor. Lois Wilson, as the third personhality of the wodei'n triangular affair unfolded in the story, has never rendered a finer performance; and Mary Duncan, as the sophisticated authoress, is superb. Edward Everett Horton was never seen to bstter advantag>e. As the lazy, | genial, literary broker i'n "The Age ! for Love," he has surpassed all previous efforts at gilt-edged humour. Others of the cast who figui*ed prominently in the story, and who gave notworthy performances, include Adrian Morris, br other of Chester; Betty Ross Clarke, Vivian Oakland, Charles Sellon, Jed Prouty and Joan Standing.
