MAJESTIC, TO-NIGHT.
i "Carnival," the big British Dominions production starring the eminent Matheson Lang, is a perfect example of just wh'at can be accomplished by the aetive co-operation of stage and screen, even though they are rival phases of entertainment. Playing the leading role of ' Silvio Steno in this magnetic dramatic extravaganza is, Matheson Lang, a fig,ure in the world of dramatics even more famous and traditional than Arliss. Lang has been associated with practically every English presentation of 'Carnival" since he adapted the piece from the Latin over a decade ago. Dorothy Bouchier, new star sensation, and Joseph Schildkraut -are also in the cast, and the inspiring music is rendered by Alfred JTode and his Hungarian Tzigane Band. The second feature is Immediate Possession," with- -Herbert Mundin. It is a British eomedy.
