Snore Disturbs Law.
An elderly , gentleman who, the Court orderly confided afterwards, had been imbibing, crept into the Wellington Supreme Court last Thursday and took a seat in the corner at the back. Soon, with his back to the wall, he ' vas fast asleep. If he had only slept on, the stern gaze of officialdom probably would not have been direeted toward him, but he did not do just jj that; he snored— very loudly. In the 1 middle of some quick-fire cross-exami- | nation he was responsible for a spbn- | did example of a snox'e, and a few seconds later his slumbers were at an end. The Registrar looked at the court orderly, who, taking his cue smartly, glided gracefully from his seat, and the old gentleman at the back was "emptied out."
