TWENTY-FOUR YOUTHS ARRESTED BY POLICE

Rec. Sept. 28, 8.10 p.m. Calcutta, Sept. 28. Twenty-four youths were arrested in conneetion with the Chittagong outrage when a dance hall was homhed hy terrorists. All vehicular and .pedestrian traffic is to cedse between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. in or near the AnglaIndian quarters in Bengal. The Europ'ean Association states that in vieW of the growth of terrorism movements within the province and tlireats against the lives of Europeans generally, they are opposed to granting a further measure of constitutional reform in Bengal, while lawle^s conditions continue. • The Rangoon High Court confirmed the conviction of 24 men for participation in the Burma rebellion last year, and cdmmuted the d'eath sentences of 12 others to life transportation.
