BULLET FIRED AT WELL KNOWN AUSTRALIAN RIDER
£■ — By Telegraph — Copyrlght)
London, Sept. 26. Mr. Van Praag, the Australian speedway rider, was motoring to London after flying from Broxbourne aerodrome when a bullet pierced the windscreen of the car. Mr. Van Pragg states that if he had not been leaning across the steering wheel to speak to a girl companion the bullet must have hit him. It had apparently come from a fast moving car which was approaching. The first intimation of the outrage was a shower of glass in Mr. Van Pragg's face. • iii 1 1 i i ■ ■ M
